[About H2L, Inc.]
Established in July 2012. The company conducts research and development, as well as business development, for BodySharing®—a technology that enables the sharing of physical experiences with others, virtual environments, and robots. Its main products include PossessedHand®, an invention selected by TIME magazine as one of the “50 Inventions That Will Change the Future in 2011”; UnlimitedHand®, a controller that inputs and outputs proprioceptive feedback; and FirstVR®, which uses a smartphone to input everything from gestures to the amount of force applied. H2L specializes in sensor technology that detects proprioceptive sensations—such as hand movements and force levels—from muscle bulging (muscle displacement), as well as actuation technology that transmits proprioceptive sensations, including finger movements, by applying multi-electrode electrical stimulation to the arm. By combining these technologies with avatar synthesis and teleoperated robots, we aim to realize BodySharing®. In 2020, we were selected as a “Venture Building a Post-COVID Society” by the Japan Venture Capital Association.
