Event
2026.10.23

H2L, Inc. exhibited VR-Kayak at “Digital Sports Experience,” the third event of the Nishi-Shinjuku Smart City Lab operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, for three days from Monday, October 12 (national holiday) to Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

During the event, many visitors tried VR-Kayak, including members of an overseas inspection delegation. We sincerely thank everyone who visited and all those who supported the event.

■ About VR-Kayak

VR-Kayak is a system that lets you enjoy a realistic kayaking experience indoors. Using BodySharing® (Experience Sharing) technology, it lets you feel not only the scenery in front of you but also the weight of the paddle catching the water and the rocking motion of the kayak.

See: Put on a VR headset and enter 360-degree footage filmed on a real river
Paddle: As you paddle, the resistance of the water is conveyed to your hands as the weight of the paddle
Rock: The seat moves in sync with the video to replicate the unique rocking motion of a kayak

River footage seen through the VR headset

We developed VR-Kayak to be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities, regardless of weather, location, or physical limitations. At the venue, the same footage was also shown on a large display so that visitors who were not paddling could enjoy it together.

H2L will continue to deliver BodySharing® experiences, which reproduce and share bodily sensations digitally, in a wide variety of settings. If you are interested in exhibiting VR-Kayak or holding a hands-on event, please feel free to contact us.
